This medium-bodied blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot from one of South Africa’s most admired estates offers luscious notes of crushed black fruit, cassis, vanilla and dark chocolate, silky tannins and lovely freshness on the finish. The estate is less than four miles from False Bay, so ocean breezes help keep the vines cool. The fruit that doesn’t make the cut for their top wine, the Rubicon, ends up in this red, so the quality is seriously impressive. Pair with Himalayan salt-aged ribeye steak.
